Ling is a 6-star support character. Her stats are pretty decent for a support but they’re what you’d expect.
Being a support, Ling’s skills are heavily focused on buffing your allies and making everyone else look good. And Ling is a pretty good support.
Her two skills Feint Step and Daunting Step are probably going to be used a lot when playing Ling. Both skills have very similar effects only affecting different stats.
Feint Step decreases DEF and SPR by 45% to all enemies and increases the power of the next normal attack to the caster. And Daunting Step decreases ATK and MAG by 45% to all enemies and increase the power of the next normal attack to the caster.
Mirage is a great move for Ling being a support because it negates physical damage on her for 2 turns. Anything that stops damage on a support is a godsend.
Dance of Life and Dance of Death are also two very similar support moves with slightly different effects. DoL cures all status ailments to allies and increases the caster’s next normal attack. And DoD has a 30% chance to inflict 2 random ailments to enemies and shares the same boost to the next normal attack.
Now her final skill is an amazing thing on a support and pushes Ling up a few levels for me. Dance of Rebirth has a 30% chance to revive all KO’d allies and gives a boost to the caster’s next normal attack.
So having so many buffing and debuffing skills along with a revive all ability makes Ling very good as a support. Her Limit Burst Dance of the Phoenix is good for some damge too, dealing fire magic damage and decreasing enemy fire resistance by 74%
Now Ling’s downside is in her equipment like most supports. She’s limited to one weapon and the worst armor sets in the game. So you will definitely need some strong characters to make Ling a usable support.
Verdict: She’s a good support, use her.

A graceful dancer with fascinating moves that is rumored to have put men, as well as beasts, under a trance. Ling’s origins are completely shrouded in mystery, but some believe that her grief-stricken expression and ability to express genuine suffering through her performances may provide a clue about her true identity. While many speculate that she may have been the princess of a ruined country, others believe her to have been an assassin who traveled the world targeting royalty. Some even claim she was the incarnation of a white dragon that was chased away from its home.
