This may sound very corny but never underestimate the power of friendship. Whether it be one best friend or a group, they will be there for you through thick and thin, good and bad times. When you need to talk to them or go on some crazy adventure they will be there.
Anime is pretty much the place where they show all kinds of friendships. And depending on the anime they will shout out how their friendship is the greatest friendship of all time.
Here’s one that new and is good, Amanchu.
This story is of two opposite people becoming the best of friends. Hikari Kohinata, is an energetic and happy-go-lucky 15-year-old and Futaba Ooki is a 16-year-old who’s very timid and has a lot on her mind. One day, Hikari drags Futaba to a scuba diving class, where their journey as friends is about to start.
From my understanding, this show is getting overlooked which is a shame since this is a great series. It has wonderful characters and a clever way of making these simple moments into something that is very beautiful.
And I know you want more of these shows that are like this series, don’t worry I always got your back. This is 8 Anime Like Amanchu.
Aria The Animation
We start with a slower paced show, but in a good way.
In the 24th century, the planet formerly known as Mars is now called Aqua, with its own city known as Neo Venezia. It has been colonized and needs plenty of tour guides, enter Akari Mizunashi. She knows all the facts about Neo Venezia and she’s having the time of her life with other co-workers, residents, and tourist of the like.
It’s a very good show about the daily life set in the future. A sharp story, awesome art, and a must watch for everyone.
Makoto Kowata is a 15-year-old girl who is a witch in training. She moves in with her relatives to continue on becoming a witch. With her cousins by her side, she’ll have a grand time.
If there was a way to describe this series I would say it’s like Kiki’s Delivery Service, with the exception of the art style. It really explores more of how someone with witch powers lives in a normal society. Definitely, watch this series when you get the chance.
Aoi Hana (Sweet Blue Flowers)
We have some teen drama and romancing going on in this show.
In a bittersweet moment, Fumi Manjoume has entered her first year of high school but with a broken heart, as she was in a relationship. However, as one relationship is gone, she forms another, in terms of friendship, as she reconnects with an old best friend name Akira Okudaira. They help each other along the way through all the problems as teenagers do.
This is a good drama show, with character depth, and a solid story.
With the love and fondness of the art of photography from her father, who passed away, teenager Fuu Sawatari grabs her father’s camera and starts to take pictures. She wants to create the same kind of wonderful memories as her father did, many years ago.
This is more of an experience than anything. This is art, that must be seen.
Love Live! Sunshine!!
This is the prettiest anime I’ve ever seen.
Chika Takami, a second-year student at Uranohoshi Girls’ High School, has a dream that she is determined to see fulfilled. And that is for her and her classmates to become school idols.
Again, the prettiest anime I’ve ever seen. It also has a very good story to match with its visual art. Watch this awesome series as soon as you can.
Kenkou Zenrakei Suieibu Umishou
Trying to learn how to swim, Kaname Okiura joins a swimming club but to his dismay, it’s full of weirdos that are not exactly qualified to teach him. Then a transfer student by the name of Amuro Ninagawa has come to join the club and she can swim like nobody else can. Yet, there’s something about her that reminds Kaname of something but he can’t remember what, though.
A very funny anime, hilarious on every level. I couldn’t wait till the next episode came, that’s how good it is. Definitely, watch this, you will not regret it.
And now we get to talk about that bromance.
When moving from place to place, Yuki Sanada has never really formed any real friendship and because of this, he becomes very socially awkward. That’s until he meets Haru, a strange boy who claims to be an alien from outer space. They start to go on some wacky adventure, that involves other classmates and it will change their lives forever.
I was having mixed feelings with this show but as it kept going it was getting better, to a point that it is simply great.
Hibike! Euphonium (Sound! Euphonium)
Kumiko Oumae has sworn off playing any instrument, after an incident that happened to her. But it seems that fate has other plans, as she is motivated by her fellow classmates to pick up her instrument and play again. But problems start to happen with Kumiko and her classmates when they try to play for local festivals.
Will they make it to the end?
If you are skeptical about this show, don’t be. It is fun, charming, and very solid all around.
