Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (1988)
It’s been Ten years since the night he came home, now after being badly burnt by an explosion that put him in a coma, Michael Myers has woken up to finish what he started so many years ago. Dr. Loomis, Michael’s therapist, will do all he can to protect Jamie, the niece of Michael Myers before Michael kills her. Will Jamie be able to survive the onslaught of her maniac uncle or will Michael will finally complete killing off his entire family once and for all?
The Babadook (2014)
Amelia is a single parent who’s also a widow, her husband died in a car crash while taking her to the hospital to give birth to her son, and is struggling to take care of her son Samuel, who’s been acting up whenever she reads a bedtime story to him that he feels is scary. One night, Samuel picks up a strange book for his mom to read called Mister Babadook. It had very disturbing images of the Babadook. Then, very unusual and weird things start to happen and it seems the Babadook might be real and is coming for Amelia and her son. Is it all in Amelia’s mind or is the Babadook actually real?
Insidious: Chapter 2 (2013)
From director James Wan (Saw, The Conjuring, and Furious 7) comes the sequel to his horror masterpiece. Taking place right after the events of the first Insidious movie, both Renai and Josh are trying to move past the traumatic experience they had with getting their son back from the spirit world and the death of Elise, the medium who helped Renai and Josh get their son back, but something seems very off with Josh. He is acting very peculiar and Renai is getting signs that things aren’t what they seem to be.
From the master of horror Dario Argento (The Bird with the Crystal Plumage, Inferno, and Deep Red) comes his most critically acclaimed and most recognizable movie to date. An American ballerina dancer named Suzy goes to a dance academy in Europe. Once she is there, she hears of people suddenly moving out of the dance academy and weird things going on. She will soon discover that the school is not what it appears to be and something very sinister is about to happen, which she is the only one who can stop it.
The Visit (2015)
The man is known as the next Alfred Hitchcock, M. Night Shyamalan (The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, and Signs) returns to horror with a surprising hit film. A brother and a sister, Becca, and Tyler are sent to live with their grandparents for a week while their mom goes on a cruise trip with her new boyfriend. At first, their grandparents seem like normal old people but there are times that they do things that a little odd. And at night, the kids are told to go to their rooms, lock the doors, and never come out. Even though they seem very peculiar, that’s how old people act. Isn’t it?
Iggy is the prime suspect for the murder of his long-time girlfriend. Everyone in the town truly believes that Iggy killed his one true love, except his childhood friend, who is also his lawyer, knows that Iggy would never commit such a crime. Then out of the blue, he sees that he grew horns on his head and with it, anyone who is around him tells all their dark secrets to him. He will use this strange power to find out who really killed his girlfriend and clear his name before it’s too late.
After eleven years, Tim has finally been discharged from the mental institution and is now completely healed after the childhood trauma of killing his own father, of whom tortured and killed his mother. He is then reunited with his sister Kaylie, who has been tracking down a mysterious mirror that has supernatural powers and was the object that caused their father to go insane. They will spend the night at their old house with the mirror and prove that it has strange and weird effects. But for how long will they be able to stay alive before the mirror uses its powers against them and cause them to go crazy, just like their father before them?
When Aaron, a videographer, answer a craigslist ad, that is located in a remote area in a forest, he is greeted by Josef, the person who sent the craigslist ad. Josef wants Aaron to make a video about him for his unborn son since he is dying of cancer. As he continues on, Josef is scaring Aaron but he said it’s his weird sense of humor. Although, is it just his weird sense of humor or something more sinister?
