General Thoughts
Mercenary Ramza is a 6-star unit that fills the dual role of Physical Damage and Tank. Ramza is setup with great stats for these roles and enough abilities to make him a solid wall.
His Traits are all extremely good pretty much giving him boosts on everything that’s important to his build. He has a counter, boosts to every stat, and a skill giving him 100% resistance to all status ailments.
He’s completely set in his Traits and the setup from those makes his abilities pretty devastating. Weapon Break, Mind Break, and Blade of Justice as his 3 main attacks.
On their own, they already do decent amounts of damage with Blade of Justice have an ignore DEF effect. But with the ATK boosts and the other boosts from his Traits these attacks becoming far better than they are on their own.
On top of his abilities and Traits, he has four Magic spells that give him great coverage. He has Cura for basic healing, Esunaga for status coverage, Ultima for some great magic damage, and Raise for obvious purposes.
There really isn’t a lot to say about Ramza other than he is built incredibly well and all of his Traits and Abilities are exactly what they need to be. He’s a good unit all around.
Verdict: Great unit with no good reason not to use

Lore
A young man who appears in the tales of holy stones known as auracite in the distant world of Ivalice. The youngest son of the prestigious House Beoulve, Ramza left his family and their military ties behind upon learning of the nobility’s unfair treatment of the common people. After relinquishing the Beoulve name, he adopts his mother’s maiden name and joins a group of mercenaries led by the Fell Knight Gaffgarion. However, this only results in another clash between him and House Beoulve following Gaffgarion’s attempt to kidnap Princess Ovelia.
