Thoughts
Update: With the new changes, Magnaguard is now tanky with a higher health pool and can counter enemies with his first skill. His damage is sub par and not suitable if you are trying to run an offensive droid team.
Old Review: The IG-100 MagnaGuard is a decent support with very high special damage on the second skill. You are welcome to slot him into the Droid team with HK-47, IG-86, IG-88 and Poggle The Lesser. You will have good AoE damage, high single target burst and special damage. The only downside is there is no heal in the team.
He provides good utility against Jedis and also apply offense down as well on critical hits.
He is very slow though, so Poggle the Lesser is much needed to speed everyone up. His health pool is also low, so he won’t be able to tank much.
Full droid teams are vulnerable against mass Jawas, which you will meet plenty of in the dark side campaign map. You will have some hard times in some 5 and 6 dark side maps with them if you run a droid team.

Verdict: Not worth it. Geonosian soldier is much better for the droid team.
