General Thoughts

Firion is a very versatile warrior that has both single target and AoE physical damage. His strength lies in dealing bonus damage to plant, bug or bird monsters. You will be meeting a lot of these in your dungeon maps and also exploration maps. His health, attack and defense are pretty good.

He also has Blade Bash, which has a chance to paralyze monsters and an AoE physical attack in Bladeblitz. He can also steal both hp and mp from monsters, which is a huge bonus in sustained fights. That means, in boss battles, he won’t run out of mp if you keep stealing mp every turn.

He can also learn low level white, black and green magic. The biggest advantage of Firion is he can equip all weapons in the game. That means you will able to use special items that give status effects like the sleep dagger.

The downside of Firion is that he doesn’t have any AoE magic skills, making him vulnerable against enemies with high physical defense. His trust master reward isn’t all that great either.

His 6 star version gives him plenty of attack power with great individual weapon passives, making him a viable attacker now.

Verdict: Max him unless you pull Vaan or Bartz.

Lore

A young man who appears in tales from a distant world, where he features in a story of an empire and the rebellion against it. To defeat the Palamecian Empire, which destroyed his homeland, he joins the rebel army led by Fynn’s own Princess Hilda. His friend and adopted brother Leon also survived the fall of Fynn, but now stands against him as a key member of the Palamecian army. Firion loses many allies, including the White Wizard Minwu, and is toyed with continually by cruel fate, but never do his eyes stray from his goal: to put a stop to the Emperor of Palamecia.
