General Thoughts
The problem with 6-Star units is that they are so much better than their 5-Star counterparts its unfair. Ramza is first full support 6-Star unit with Delita being a hybrid between Attacker and Support. Ramza, unlike Delita though, excels in the role of support with great debuffing and buffing abilities, which makes Ramza a valuable member of any team.
Ramza’s 6-Star unit status comes through in the form of abilities that are just simply superior to their 5-Star counterparts. Yes it’s pure powercreep, but if you have a 6-Star unit now you’ll be all kinds of happy. Mind Break (Physical damage (1.8x) and reduce MAG (40%) for 5 turns to one enemy) and Weapon Break (Physical damage (1.8x) and reduce ATK (40%) for 5 turns to one enemy) are just plainly superior to Magic Break and Power Break.
Ramza also gets a full party buff in the form of Hero’s Rime (Increase ATK/DEF/MAG/SPR (40%) while singing for 3 turns to all allies) which is Cheer and Focus in song form, but if you’re not keen on losing 3 turns of a unit while they do their Final Fantasy Has Talent routine, you could also opt for his Second Wind (Increase ATK/DEF (50%) for 3 turns to one ally) which only helps melee units but +50% to attack is no joke. Did I mention Ramza also just happens to have this little spell called Ultima (Magic damage (2.8x) with ignore SPR (25%) to all enemies)?
Ramza’s Trust Master Reward is the epitome of fabrication technology. Ramza figured out a way to put the awesomeness of Hero Rings into wearable clothes. Brave Suit (Type: Armor (Clothes), Stats: ATK +15%, MAG +15%, DEF+51). I think any unit having +15% to attack and magic would be a bit braver in a fight.
Ramza’s limit break is bit lacking until you rank it up, at 6-Star Scream (Base: Increase ATK/MAG (40%) for 3 turns to one ally, Max: Increase ATK/MAG (64%) for 3 turns to one ally) is effectively worse than Cheer, Focus and Hero’s Rime in that it only effects one unit, but at its max rank a +64% to attack and magic would make it awesome.
Ramza is a pure support unit but that’s okay since he’s awesome at it. His abilities can swing any battle to your favor and those make Ramza a worthy addition to any team.
All around Ramza is a great unit on any team because of his power as a buffer and debuffer. Ramza has awesome abilities, an awesome trust master reward, fulfills his role as a support unit great, and in its later ranks has a great limit break.
Verdict: Top tier support. Use it alongside Lightning.

Lore
A young man who appears in the tales of holy stones known as auracite in the distant world of Ivalice. Ramza is the third and last son of the noble house of Beoulve, who always felt inferior to his two more successful half brothers.
A virtuous young man with little knowledge of the intrigues that hatch like snakes in times of war, Ramza remained oblivious to the dark side of the world he inhabited. He held great promise as the son of a respected house, but his life was much altered by the events that would follow the great conflict known as the War of Lions.
