General Thoughts
Ovelia is a 5 star character with decent stats and plays the Healing/Support roles. I will immediately start by saying that Ovelia is 100% a White Mage and there is no way to get around that.
She is not strong, she is fragile, and all of her skills are specifically built to keep others alive. So she is going to need stronger fighters to play defense while she dishes out her healing.
Bravery and Faith are going to be the bread and butter of Ovelia’s style. Boosting both attack and magic to her allies giving her better coverage to stay alive and provide healing support.
She has all the basic heal spells Cure all the way to Curaja and both Stona and Esuna. Top it all off with Raise and you have yourself a well rounded basic White Mage character.
Her Limit Break however gives her a slight bump over other white mages. Aegis not only heals but gives a boost to defense and spirit for 3 turns.
On a healer, anything that provides defense boosts whether its for the healer or the units keeping her alive is extremely important. And her limit burst plays that point very well.
Verdict: A basic White Mage that serves her purpose.

Lore
A young lady who appears in the tales of holy stones known as auracite in the distant world of Ivalice. Although Ovelia had been adopted by the king as his own daughter from an early age, she was forced to spend most of her life in a distant monastery away from her family. After the king’s passing, Duke Larg and Duke Goltanna instigate a war for the rights of succession, and it is thus decided that Ovelia shall be taken to the latter’s duchy of Gallionne for her safety. However, Goltanna’s forces along with a supposed knight manage to kidnap her whilst attempting to flee Orbonne Monastery.
