General Thoughts

Warrior of Light(WoL) is one of the best units available in the game. Why so? He offers the team AoE physical and light damage, which is a great combination of hybrid damage. He is tanky and can self heal. He has innate Def+30% and Hp+20%, both which are great stats to have. Pair him with Fina or Roselia and you have a strong tank that is literally unkillable.

He can also guard other units like fragile mages if you are running a magic heavy team. His other special passive is Undead Killer, giving him a bonus 50% damage to zombies! When it comes to his limit burst, he deals AoE light physical damage.

Also keep in mind that this guy can wear ALL weapons and and armor, which is a step higher than Firion. That makes him an extremely versatile unit to have. His Trust Master Reward is Light’s Blessing, which further increases his attack and defense by 20% should you opt to equip on him.

He also does have some downsides despite his high rating. He can’t use green or black magic. That is a small price to pay for the great skills he got. Plus he doesn’t have a strong single target attack. Now, I am just nit picking for cons here.

Verdict: I do think he is a tad better than Cecil, who is another great tank. I would choose WoL over Cecil due to him being better offensively.

Lore

A great hero sung of in tales from a distant world. One of the warriors of light whose coming was foretold in the prophecies of old. The four warriors of light arrived in the land of Cornelia each bearing a crystal that has lost its light, and with no memories to speak of. In time, they realized that the crystals they held were inextricably linked to the four elements that sustained their world, and set off on a journey to instill them with light anew.
